Customer Reviews. This is a SYSTEM BUILDER version meaning you can't buy it an install on more then one computer. It's license is tied to the motherboard you use it on. That said ... I read all the 1 star reviews and either the people who installed it were not proficient in clean installs or they were simply lazy. I have been a die hard XP user until I recently purchased a laptop that had Win 7 on it. I love this OS and the ease of use and functionality are bar none in the Windows world. I was hesitant to put Win 7 on my desktop but recently (last weekend) I built a new PC and decided that now was the time to make the jump. I was concerned that (now defunct) Money 2007 wouldn't run on Win 7 because that's where I have all my accounting on. I was prepared to buy another money management program but guess what? Money works as does Photoshop 7 (another program I was worried about not working any longer). For those with networking problems: Did you set up a "homegroup"? You do realize that you have to enter a homegroup password on the satellite computers in order to join a home group and you have to manually set folders/files/drives to share right? Be warned though, setting up sharing between an XP computer and a Win 7 computer may be a bit tricky, it can be done but sometimes your computers will not see one another (had that issue prior to having Win 7 on both computers) ... Now it's a dream. I can access all my files from either computer. Truth be told I haven't played around with the media portion of the OS yet but will soon as I have to set up the new Media Player to my XBOX. This OS is fast and smooth and system management/maintenance is a dream Seriously, if you rated 1 star and had issues examine "user error" prior to blaming the OS ... oh, and make sure your computer can RUN a 64 bit OS before purchasing one.
